Leonard Baskin: Florilegivm Colophon

Fifty copies of The Gehenna Press Florilegivm were printed at the onset of winter 1998. The paper was made by hand in Italy. The woodcuts were printed from the maple blocks; they & the letterpress were printed by Arthur Larson of Hadley, Massachusetts. All of the books were hand-bound by Claudia Cohen. The edition is arranged as follows: ten copies numbered 1-10 contain a page of Anthony Hecht’s manuscript, three drawings by Baskin and one of the blocks; these copies also include a suite of the woodcuts printed in black with several colored by the artists. Copies 11-50 constitute the regular edition. All the prints are numbered & signed by the artist. The colophon is signed by Hecht & Baskin.
