Full-time sales position
Description:
Michelson Galleries is honored to celebrate 50 years in business. We represent some of the country’s best-known realist and expressionist artists, and work originally exhibited on our walls now hangs in many prestigious museums, including New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and the Art Institute of Chicago. Our artists range from local to international. We are proud to be recognized as the premier gallery for picture book illustration and the first venue in the country to feature illustration on an equal footing with fine art. Our illustrators have garnered 16 Caldecott Medals and 37 Caldecott Honor Awards.
We host annual exhibitions, galas, and events within our space including rotating shows for our roster of artists, and our Children’s Book Illustration Celebration. With two floors of exhibit space, and three floors of storage including a frame shop, we provide expert services in framing, installation, and shipping of artworks alongside our exhibiting practice. Our work often takes us outside of the gallery walls as we participate in traveling exhibitions and shows.
Whether you are a museum curator, a major art collector, a student, or a family with young children, we aim to create a welcoming environment for buying and browsing.
