Full time picture framer for an art gallery/custom frame shop. Responsibilities include but are not limited to cutting and joining of frames, mat cutting, wet and dry mounting, glazing, fillets, object mounting, framing of fabrics. Will also be expected to properly pack and ship valuable and sometimes fragile artwork. Must be able to perform all aspects of a museum quality custom framing operation. Weekend hours are required for this position.

The successful candidate will exhibit a fanatical attention to detail and a zeal for productivity. Must be a creative and practical problem solver. Must have good organizational skills and be able to work in a systematic and methodical fashion. Familiarity and proficiency with the tools of the trade is required as well as knowledge of archival framing and hinging techniques and requirements. Must be able to work individually as well as part of a team. Most important: an ability to retain superb quality standards in a fast-paced and demanding environment. If you know the word CAN’T, this isn’t the job for you.

Salary dependent on qualifications and level of experience.
