Mo Willems: You Are Not Alone: Reflections on the News

It seems we are doomed to live in interesting times. As the ground shifts below our feet, our eyes suddenly see how the world has changed (or, perhaps, we more clearly see what has always been there).

But, solace can be found in reaffirming some truths with ink and color. We are greater when we march towards the greater good. Experience is important. You are not alone.

These drawings are explorations, thoughts, reminders on paper. The art in this show is date-stamped, they are immediate reflections of philosophical questions we find ourselves asking almost daily.

All of the artist proceeds and the gallery’s profits from this exhibit (and the accompanying poster) will be given to the ACLU in order to assist them in assisting us to defend basic American ideals of equality.
