Eric Carle

Eric Carle was one of the most beloved and successful illustrators of our time. His Very Hungry Caterpillar turned 50 in 2019 and has sold almost 50 million copies worldwide, more than one per minute since its publication. He was the author/illustrator of more than 70 books, many of which have been worldwide best-sellers. Much of Carle’s art work used a collage technique, layering hand-painted papers.

Rarely does an Eric Carle original come on the market, as Carle’s personal collection is housed at the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art. If you are coming to see us at R.
