Lewis Bryden is a poet. He constructs studies of light and air and space… He communicates his own joy at being outside in nature and his sense that the world is a satisfying place to live… His landscapes are most remarkable for their feeling of harmony and serenity, and above all, for their unaffected naturalness. Lewis Bryden’s paintings are showcased along with the country’s greatest landscape painters, (Cole, Homer, Innes, Wyeth) in the books Paintings of New England and The Artist and the American Landscape. His signature Pioneer Valley landscapes have garnered national attention and can be found in the finest corporate and private collections in the United States.
