Frank R. Gnatek (1933-2010) was born in Hadley, MA to a farming family. He and his brothers, John and Michael, attended the Maryland Institute of Art. Frank left the Institute to serve in the Armed Services and then returned to finish. An avid outdoorsman, he moved to Colorado in the early 1990’s where he was a member of the Village Artists of Parachute, Colorado, and the Glenwood Springs Art Guild. His artwork can be found in private collections in the U.S. as well as Europe, Canada, and Japan.
Frank and his brother John would often go on long travels, doing artwork along the way. These drawings were done in 1982 at the last visit they took to Skinner Park together.
