Opera Sets: Painted Chairs from “A Love for Three Oranges”

These two armchairs were created for the 1982 production of Sergei Profokiev’s opera A Love for Three Oranges at the Glyndebourne Festival in Sussex, England.  When the opera was produced again at Julliard in 1995, Maurice repainted the chairs himself.
