Michael Atkinson

Michael Atkinson, born in 1946, is a master of Western and Southwestern landscapes and oceanscapes. The main subject of Michael Atkinson’s paintings features bright colors and detail, and most of his portraits and still life pieces contain a vast amount of white space in an attempt to draw focus to the main image. Michael Atkinson’s seascape paintings are predominantly watercolor pieces in an abstract, realist style. He creates most of his artwork out of his studio in Texas, called Smokey Ridge, or on location.
