Margaret Babbitt

Margaret Babbitt was born in New Haven, CT and educated at Kirkland College (now Hamilton College) where she studied artMargaret Babbitt - Biography history and studio art. After college she worked at the Yale University Art Gallery and for a small New York design firm before moving to Cape Cod to focus on her art. Her interest has always centered on shoreline imagery – landscapes, seascapes, and associated architectural forms. Her treatment of these images in watercolor and serigraphy brought early recognition and a rapidly growing audience of collectors throughout the United States, as well as in Europe and Japan.
