“We are “meaning machines,” we see shapes in clouds, man in the moon, gods in the stars. By putting together boxes in random shapes, I found unexpected figures doing unexpected things; anti-allegorically they guided themselves into seeking a meaning… boxes in search of a figure or actors in search of a play. Meaning is a form of hope, a healthy delusion, the price we pay for our self-consciousness. Meaning must outstrip the facts… “Colleges of Unreason.”
