“When I was a child my family spent a lot of time on Mt. Tom and the Connecticut River. Summer nights at Mountain Park, boating, hiking, skiing down Mt. Tom in the winter: the land became a truly magical, important place for me. In this piece I wanted to merge and juxtapose the vastness of the land I remember with my current, more intimate portrait work.”
