Mo Willems: Try Being Nice | March 2019

An exhibition to benefit The Northampton Education Foundation.

Occasionally during the roller coaster that was 2018, Mo Willems pulled out his pen and markers as a way to absorb, reflect, and share his thoughts on the events of the day. Try Being Nice collects many of these drawings along with a few signs created for various protests Mo attended throughout the year.

All of Mo’s proceeds for this show will be donated to The Northampton Education Foundation to help supplement programs and activities for the community’s public-school students.

Please join R. Michelson galleries for the Opening Reception of Try Being Nice on Friday, March 8th from 6-8 pm (in conjunction with Northampton’s Arts Night Out).

View gallery here.

Mo Willems will not be signing books at this event.

Inner Vision, Outside World | The Works of Vitek Kruta | February 2019

Vitek Kruta’s creations are part sculpture, and part painting. Inspired by the European masters he encountered while apprenticing in the former Czechoslovakia, his work combines the qualities of the vast architectural church murals he would work on with an American landscape tradition.  He refers to these pieces as INSCAPES.  Says Kruta: “Inscapes are the ‘Inner’ works I live in and explore. Some of the qualities they represent are peace, solitude, contemplation, meditation, relaxation, and healing. The door is wide open, inviting the viewer to explore that world with me.”

Please join R. Michelson galleries for the Opening Reception of Inner Vision, Outside World on Friday, February 8th from 6-8 pm (in conjunction with Northampton’s Arts Night Out).
