Gregory Stone is a native of Athol, Massachusetts
and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting and
a Master of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture, from Boston University.
Stone is well known for his paintings of the homeless and forgotten
of society. His work has been exhibited in over forty one-person
shows and numerous Group exhibitions and can be found in many
private and corporate collections throughout the United States.
He recently completed a sculpture
to honor Anne Frank at the The Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights
Memorial, an educational park inspired by Anne Frank’s
faith in humanity. It was built to promote respect for human
dignity and diversity. Citizens from throughout Idaho and the
rest of the United States have contributed $1.6 million to build
the memorial. Idaho school children raised the funds to build
the bronze statue of Anne Frank. The Idaho Anne Frank Human
Rights Memorial was constructed along the Boise Greenbelt, near
other educational facilities like the Black History Museum,
The Boise Art Gallery, The Idaho History Museum, the MK Nature
Center, and the Log Cabin Literary Center.
