Eye ContactWhen I began seriously shooting fine art nudes I couldn’t bear to have the model look at me. It was always, “look away…up, down, sideways.” Never at the lens. The photographs in this collection reflect that dynamic. A search for something deeply human while simultaneously protecting the privacy of the subject. The averted gaze can be a signal that emotional contact is not available or desired. – Leonard Nimoy |
