Yingzhao Liu’s work is an intricate blending of Asian and Western iconography with vibrant colors and an impressive attention to detail.

Born in Heilongjiang province in 1956. He received his B.A. from Harbin Normal University and his Master of Fine Arts degree from Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, China's largest art academy. Liu became a Lecturer at the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in 1992 before becoming a Professor of Art at the Tianjin University of Science and Technology. His works have been exhibited across China as well as in Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Macao, Indonesia, the UK and the United States. Christie’s auction house in Hong Kong has sold his paintings at their annual auctions of art from Mainland China as well as Butterfield’s of San Francisco.
