      Rebecca Guay began her art career in 1992, after graduating from the Pratt Institute in New York City with a degree in illustration. Rebecca is best known for her painted graphic novels and DC comics, and her illustrations for the very popular game Magic: The Gathering. She also created book covers for young adult novels, illustrating the works of such writers as Bruce Coville and Ursula LeGuin. Goddesses: A World of Myth and Magic, marks her debut as an illustrator for Barefoot Books.
     
Images from her most recent effort, The Barefoot Book of Ballet Stories, are on display at our Northampton Gallery. A selection from that book can be seen below.
     Rebecca Lives in Western Massachusetts with her husband and young daughter.
