Tony DiTerlizzi

Tony DiTerlizzi's artwork has been featured on the wildly popular Magic: The Gathering trading cards, in Cricket magazine. In addition to having written and illustrated his own picture books, including Ted and Jimmy Zangwow's Out-of-this-World Moon Pie Adventure, Tony also provided the illustrations for Tony Johnston's Alien and Possum series. Most recently, Tony has illustrated The Spiderwick Chronicles series, which has been made into a feature length film released in February 2008.  He and his wife, Angela, reside with their newborn baby girl Sophie, in western Massachusetts.

Tony's book The Spider and the Fly has been named a Caldecott Honor book for 2003 by the American Library Association. Considered the “Academy Awards” of children’s book publishing, the Caldecott honors outstanding illustration of works published in the United States during the previous year.
