Patience Brewster is a fine artist, calligrapher, and illustrator.  The many books she has illustrated for children include Bear and Mrs. Duck, an International Reading Association-Children's Book Council Children's Choice, Bear and Roly Poly, and Bear's Christmas Surprise, all written by Elizabeth Winthrop.
