Student of Plato, Aristotle was a philosopher, psychologist,
logician, moralist, political thinker, biologist,
and the founder of literary criticism. He was the
tutor to Alexander the Great.

These drawings were illustrations for the Eaton Press’
edition of Aristotle’s Politics and Poetics
published in 1964. Baskin has illustrated works of
literature from some of the greatest writers in history,
ancient to contemporary, and both in collaboration
and in memoriam.
