The teacher of Plato, who expounded his ideas, demonstrating
the Socratic method of cross-examination. He devoted
himself to improving the moral climate of Athens.
These drawings were illustrations for the Eaton Press’
edition of Aristotle’s Politics and Poetics
published in 1964. Baskin has illustrated works of
literature from some of the greatest writers in history,
ancient to contemporary, and both in collaboration
and in memoriam.
