One of the three great tragic dramatists, he composed
over seventy-five plays, of which nineteen are extant,
including Medea and The Trojan Women.
These drawings were illustrations for the Eaton Press’
edition of Aristotle’s Politics and Poetics
published in 1964. Baskin has illustrated works of
literature from some of the greatest writers in history,
ancient to contemporary, and both in collaboration
and in memoriam.
